Battery Care

A few precautions should be taken to maintain battery life:

  • Avoid fully discharging the display or probe. If the battery becomes fully discharged, connect the AC charger and leave for at least 20 minutes before turning the device on.
  • If the device is being stored for an extended period, the battery should be recharged every 6 months.

Common Questions

My display won’t turn on. What should I do?

The most common cause of this is a discharged battery. Connect your display to its AC charger and leave for at least 30 minutes.

If the device is still not functioning after this minimal charge period, contact our customer support team.

What do I do if I experience any problems with my device?

If you experience any problems, please contact us and speak to our Customer Support team. If it is necessary to return your device to Signostics, we will help you to organise transport.

How do I clean my device?

Do not submerge your device in water.

The probes and transducers are IPX1 water resistant and can be spray cleaned or wiped. The display units are not water resistant and should not be splashed or sprayed.

Refer to the user manual for detailed instructions and a list of approved disinfection agents.

I will not be using my device for a while. What are the recommended storage procedures?

When you are storing your device for long periods, ensure that cable is not severely bent. The battery should be charged before storing. For best battery life, we recommend that the battery is recharged every 6 months.
